Book Review Requirements:

*   Write a book summary on a 5 X 7 index card (I have the cards).  The top of the lined side of the card needs:
a.    Book title
b.    Author
c.    Your Name
d.    Class/Period
e.    Date

*   The lined side of the card should contain:  a written paragraph summarizing your book (a minimum of 10 sentences).  The summary should include:
a.     The main characters
b.    The setting of the book
c.    The theme or plot
d.    The problem & solution (if applicable)
e.    A concise summary of the book
f.    Please don’t tell the ending of the book – you want to leave the reader hanging….

*   The blank side of the card:  needs to have your opinion of the book      (please be specific as to why you like or dislike your book) as well as a picture of your favorite part of the book.  The picture needs to have lots of detail and be colored with markers or map pencils. (I am not grading you on artistic ability – stick figures are fine.)   THIS BOOK DOES NOT HAVE TO BE AR!

*    You will be responsible for presenting your book review to the class.  This will count as 20 pts. for your book review grade.
