DREWS’ DEAL (EXPECTATIONS)

1. BE PREPARED FOR CLASS:
a. Enter promptly and have all supplies
b. Be seated and begin warm up work
c. Work quietly until given further instructions
d. Pencils are sharpened at the beginning and end of class periods.
e. Trash is thrown away at the beginning and end of class periods.
2. COMPLETE ALL ASSIGNMENTS:
a. Place your work in your class period’s drawer (folded and headed properly)
b. Return to your seat and check the overhead or chalkboard for further instructions/assignments (if none, read your AR book, work on your book review, or study vocabulary)
3. TURN ALL WORK IN ON TIME:
a. Use your agenda book to write down assignments, test, and due dates
b. It is the student’s responsibility to complete missed assignments
c. Check with the teacher, on-line newsletter, or a classmate for missed assignments and add them to your agenda book.
d. Make arrangements to schedule make up quizzes and tests
e. Clarify any concerns about missed assignments and make up work
4. RAISE YOUR HAND TO SPEAK:
a. Wait to be recognized
b. Ask for permission
c. Use inside voice level
5. TREAT OTHERS WITH RESPECT:
a. Enter the classroom with a respectful attitude
b. Immediately stop any talking or activities if the teacher’s hand is raised, a visitor (adult or student) enters the class, or the teacher is standing quietly in front of the class
c. Remain seated until you are dismissed
d. Gather all belongings and throw away your trash
e. Move quickly and quietly to your next class
6. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
GRADES WILL BE WEIGHTED AS FOLLOWS:
LANGUAGE ARTS/ENRICHED LANGUAGE ARTS
TESTS: 50%/40%
CLASSWORK/QUIZZES: 40%/30%
FOREIGN LANGUAGE: 0%/20%
HOMEWORK: 10%
